AFC Telford 2 Newport 4
Telford finished with nine men as they were beaten 4-2 at home by league leaders Newport County at the New Bucks Head.
The soaking conditions made controlling the ball more difficult but Kieron St Aimie managed to fire Telford in front after 27 minutes with a superb turn and shot from outside the box.
Their lead lasted until the second minute of first half stoppage time when Aaron O'Connor rounded Ryan Young from Danny Crow's through ball to level.
Telford then fell behind in disasterous fashion when Will Salmon chested down a dangerous cross which skipped across the turf.
Jordan Rose and Dan Preston slid for the ball and it ricocheted over the line off the latter.
St Aimie was then dismissed five minutes later after a fracas in front of the dug out in which Crow was also booked.
Ismail Yakubu made it 3-1 to the visitors with 18 minutes left and Bucks defender Dan Preston was sent off following a foul on Jefferson Louis on his return to the side following a six game ban two minutes later.
Andy Sandell then wrapped up the game in the 77th minute before Steve Leslie's free kick deflected in off Sandell to pull a goal back nine minutes from time.
