AFC Telford new-boy Jake Reid sets mid-table target

AFC Telford can leave behind last season's Blue Square Bet Premier survival struggles and target a mid-table finish in 2012-13.
That is the view of new attacking recruit Jake Reid after he completed his move to the New Bucks Head.
The 25-year-old targetman spent the early days of pre-season on trial with his latest employers before earning a deal.
And Reid is confident Andy Sinton's side can firmly establish themselves in the top flight of non-league football after a long battle to avoid relegation last term.
"From what I've seen, I think we should definitely be trying to hit a mid-table finish," he said.
"There are other clubs in the Conference with a similar structure to Telford who have done even better than that over the years but I think you have to be realistic in the targets you set yourself.
"The gaffer is instilling the right mentality into us and the ball is rolling in the right direction."
Reid spent the second half of last season at Newport County and also lists Weymouth, Salisbury and Bath among his former clubs.
He added: "The most important thing for me is I'm at a good club and I've got good vibes from the time I've trained in pre-season."
