Manager Andy Sinton is determined to bring in players of a better calibre ahead of the new campaign in the hope AFC Telford United can find the killer touch needed to win tight games.

The Bucks drew 16 games over the course of the 2011/2012 season, more than anyone else in the division, and Sinton believes that turning some of those draws into victories is the key to pushing on next season.

"The margins between success and failure in this league are very fine," he said.

"I think one of the problems this year was that we didn't manage to win enough games when we were on top.

"Sometimes we haven't managed to find that piece of magic or get the rub of the green when needed.

"I have already said we need to find more of a goal threat, and that is why, because we need to pick up more wins next season."

Sinton wants the players he brings in to help add that cutting edge he believes his side has been missing.

He says he is looking for any summer recruit to have an abundance of two key characteristics.

"Ability and commitment," he added. "Those are the two main things I will be looking for."
