Boss Andy Sinton has urged the AFC Telford United fans to whip up a hostile atmosphere for visitors Wrexham on Boxing Day.
The Dragons will come to the New Bucks Head as leaders of the Blue Square Bet Premier and backed by a huge travelling army of supporters.
But Sinton wants the shouts of the Welshmen to be drowned out by the cheers of the Telford followers in what is one of the most eagerly-anticipated games of the season.
"The crowd have got a big part to play because Wrexham are supposedly bringing anything from 1,200 to 1,500," said Sinton. "We don't want them to turn Telford into a home game for them and I would urge the crowd to really get behind us.
"They've been terrific all season and we need them to play their part again."
The Telford chief admits his side would have to upset the formbook in order to win the game.
But he takes encouragement from their results against the division's better sides this season – having managed to take at least a point from the likes of Fleetwood, York, Luton and Kidderminster.
"It's a fantastic game for us," said Sinton. "It was for games like this that we worked so hard to win promotion last season.
"It's a real David versus Goliath game but we have to use that to our advantage.
"We're very much the underdogs and we will have to play with passion and pride.
"We'll have to be at our maximum and they might have to be a little bit below what they are capable of, but we have always got a chance.
"We can take real heart from having taken four points off York and from the points we have got at places like Luton and Fleetwood."
Telford are almost at full strength for the game, with long-term injury absentee Adam Proudlock (broken foot) the only man still in the treatment room.
Loan midfielder Jay Smith is suspended but Richard Davies has been declared fit, having gone off injured in the 3-1 defeat at Bath earlier this month.
