Boss Andy Sinton has urged AFC Telford United not to be in awe of high-flying York City as they look to get back on track tonight.

The Bucks saw their three-game unbeaten run come to a shuddering halt as they went down 3-1 away to the Blue Square Bet Premier's bottom side Bath City on Saturday.

York, by contrast, arrive on the back of a 7-0 thrashing of crisis club Kettering and will be looking to avenge their 1-0 defeat at home to Telford back in August.

"Their tails will be up after Saturday's result," said Sinton.

"Ours were down a bit at Bath but we bounced back at training last night and, not for the first time this year, I will be looking for a reaction.

"We'll be aggressive but we know we are playing one of the fancied sides, one of the big boys, who are capable of beating anyone on their day.

"We beat them up there so there's no reason to be in awe and we can usually raise our game against the better sides so I'm just hoping we can again tonight."

Sinton has also challenged his side to prove that their dismal showing at Bath was not the real Telford.

"The desire and hunger to succeed has to come from within," he said.

"The challenge is to find that tonight. York are a hungry and ruthless outfit so we will have to be at our best, but we know that."

Striker Chris Sharp completes a three-game ban this evening, while skipper Shane Killock serves a one-match suspension after his sending off in Saturday's defeat at Bath.

Killock's absence is likely to mean a recall for Dan Preston to partner Stuart Whitehead, though Will Salmon can also play at centre-back.
