AFC Telford United look set to reluctantly accept skipper Shane Killock's impending suspension – after reviewing "inconclusive" video evidence of his controversial red card at Bath.

Killock was sent off early in the second half of Saturday's 3-1 defeat away to the Blue Square Bet Premier's bottom side Bath City for a foul on Gethin Jones.

An appeal would have made him available for tomorrow's home clash with York but Sinton is unlikely to go down that road.

"I watched it twice yesterday and you can see when the referee blows for the offence that he seems very undecided about what he's going to give and he takes an eternity," said Sinton.

"He actually said to a couple of my players that he'd given the penalty for handball but that's not what he told me after the game.

"It looks very soft – there is a coming together but Shane is going for the ball and the guy seems to run into him.

"It doesn't seem to be a deliberate act but the video is a bit inconclusive and I wouldn't have thought it would help us as a club to appeal."

Sinton also admitted his side deserved nothing from the game and refused to use the red card as an excuse.

"Let's not hide behind it, we weren't very good on Saturday," he said. "To concede a penalty and lose a key member of our defence was a double whammy but there are no excuses."

Meanwhile, forward James Lawrie looks set to leave Telford.

The one-time Northern Ireland international has spent the last three months on loan at Altrincham and is on the verge of agreeing a permanent deal with the Blue Square Bet Premier club.

"I talked to him about bringing him back as part of the squad but he wants regular football and I can't guarantee him that," said Sinton.
