Bath City boss Adie Britton insists AFC Telford United can expect a rough ride from his improving side at Twerton Park tomorrow.

The Bucks made the trip to the south-west looking to extend their three-game unbeaten run.

Tuesday's draw at non-League giants Luton has raised the morale at the Shropshire club, but Britton believes his bottom-of-the-table outfit can surprise a few people.

"If you look back at our last six games, the scores have been level in the 90th minute so that shows how competitive we have been – and that is in matches against good sides," said the Bath chief, whose side held high-flying Cambridge United to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

"We have to make sure that when we start playing the teams around us, we convert the draws into wins but to do that we've got to start taking our chances.

"We are just not putting enough of them away but you cannot create as many as we are and not start converting them eventually."

Britton also remains convinced that his side can put a sustained run of results together and climb away from the relegation zone in the second half of the season.

And he points to recent history as proof that things chan change quickly.

"The key thing is not to tinker too much, just trust in what we are doing," said Britton.

"We made a poor start last season but kept saying we were going to be alright.

"People thought we had got it wrong but we kept our belief and things turned around.

"I think it is the same story this time – we are playing really well and I am pleased with the squad as a whole."

City's cutting edge has been blunted by the loss of joint leading scorer Sean Canham, who was recalled from a successful loan spell by Hereford United yesterday.

But Britton believes another loanee, Aaron Amadi-Holloway – who joined along with fellow Bristol City youngster Joe Bryan last week – has the potential to make a real impact.
