Long-serving midfield maestro Jon Adams is set to rack up a major milestone when AFC Telford United face Mansfield on Saturday – by making his 200th appearance for the club.

If selected, the 26-year-old – who signed from Leamington in 2006 – will become only the third Bucks player to reach the landmark appearance tally after goalkeeper Ryan Young and midfielder Carl Rodgers.

Adams has been a regular feature in boss Andy Sinton's starting line-up, though the Telford chief is set to complete up to three loan signings at training this evening.

"I'm into my fifth season here and I didn't play much when I first signed so it's taken some doing," said Adams.

"But Telford is my home away from home now. I love being at the club and I really do see it as my second home."
