AFC Telford United were today rocked as rejuvenated striker Adam Proudlock was ruled out for at least six weeks.
The former Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday forward fractured his ankle in last week's 5-0 FA Cup triumph over Gainsborough Trinity.
It was initially hoped the injury, which forced Proudlock off after an hour, would not prove serious.
But the Bucks have now received the results of an X-ray and the forward – who has recently forced his way back into Andy Sinton's starting XI – is now facing a battle to return before the end of the calendar year.
"We've had some bad news about Adam and he's going to be out for at least four to six weeks," confirmed boss Andy Sinton.
