Forgotten man Craig King has been backed to make an impression at AFC Telford United – after serving a reminder of his talents in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Hereford.
King, 20, signed for the Bucks in the summer but has made just two appearances in the Blue Square Bet Premier – starting in the 1-0 win at York and coming on as a sub in the home defeat to Lincoln last month.
He was on target against a Bulls XI last night though, with fellow forward Alex Meechan and a trialist also scoring in the squad game.
And it was King who stood out in the eyes of assistant manager Darren Read, who admitted: "Craig did exceptionally well.
"He's a young lad and he's got a good future at the club."
