Defender Will Salmon today penned a new one-year contract at AFC Telford United – committing himself to the club's debut season in the Conference Premier.
Right-back Salmon only signed three days before the start of last season to fill the void left by injuries to Ashley Woolliscroft and Martyn Naylor, who have since left the club.
But the 24-year-old went on to be one of just two ever-presents – along with skipper Shane Killock – as the Bucks sealed promotion through the play-offs.
And delighted boss Andy Sinton said: "He was one of the players who we didn't have an option on, but there was never a doubt that he would be staying.
"He wants to stay and he wants to improve, and I'm delighted to have him.
"I was struggling for a right-back at the start of last season and I'm sure a few people were wondering who on earth he was when I put him in for the first game against Hyde.
"But he never missed a game or a training session. I can't speak highly enough of him and he deserves the opportunity to play at the next level."
Meanwhile, Sinton revealed that he expects to have two more players on board by Tuesday next week – having completed a double-signing last night to start his summer business.
Centre-back Robbie Williams and winger James Reid have both joined on one-year deals from Altrincham and Hinckley respectively.
They met with the manager last night to complete the formalities of the paperwork – and there should be more coming in over the next few days.
"We are very close to one more player, but there are just one or two things to sort out," he said.
"We also have a verbal agreement with someone else and that should also be finalised by next week."
