Boss Andy Sinton has circulated details of some of AFC Telford United's fringe players in order to get them out playing games, writes CHRIS HUDSON.

A makeshift Telford side won 2-0 in a friendly at Vodkat League side Eccleshall last night which saw run-outs for the likes of Steve Abbott, Danny Carey-Bertram, Will Richards and the fit-again Stefan Bailey.

Now the Telford manager is keen to get some of those players playing regularly at other clubs to top up their match fitness in case they suddenly force their way into his first team plans.

And Sinton revealed: "I've got a couple of circulars that have gone out as there are a couple of lads who haven't played for a long time."

Defender Liam Murray and loan winger Lee Smith scored the goals in last night's victory at the home of Staffordshire side Eccleshall.

The Telford line-up featured a number of players in unusual positions - on-loan Derby winger Greg Mills starting at right-back while fellow winger Phil John played left-back and midfielder Richards played at centre-back.

And coach John Psaras said: "The pitch was not great but we coped with it well and played some good stuff at times.

"It was a useful exercise for the gaffer and I'm sure it's put a few players in his mind (for first team places)."
