AFC Telford United's dreams of FA Trophy glory came to a crushing end with defeat to full-timers Darlington.

The visitors got a dream start, Gary Smith firing them in front in the second minute after keeper Ryan Young had saved Liam Hatch's close-range effort.

Telford went on to apply plenty of pressure and might have been level when Andy Brown's flick over the keeper was cleared off the line by Darlington skipper Ian Miller.

The visitors soaked up everything Telford could offer and added a second through Aman Verma on 74 minutes off an Aaron Brown corner.

Telford's misery was completed five minutes later when Young was controversially sent off for a clash with Liam Hatch.

And substitute Nathan Modest duly added a third for the Quakers in injury-time.
