Former Ashes winners Matthew Hoggard and Mike Gatting will be at Forton Cricket Club along with current England womens star Danielle Wyatt as part of the 2014 NatWest CricketForce showcase event.

NatWest CricketForce is an ECB grassroots volunteering initiative, which encourages cricket clubs to engage with their local community for help with renovation projects and ground improvements before the new season begins.

A record number of clubs have registered to put on a NWCF event over the coming weekend with Forton selected to host the national showcase event.

More than 150 people are expected at the ground tomorrow to help carry out improvements including installing a scorebox, re-decorating, re-carpeting and re-tiling parts of the club house and installing new nets.

Other attractions on the day will include autograph stations as well as coaching sessions for children as part of the ECB Cricket Factory initiative.
