The 14-year old twins, from Oswestry, have shown their credentials with the school's under-14s this summer.

Lottie picked up a six-wicket haul in a victory against Newcastle-under-Lyme School in which Caro opened the batting for Ellesmere.

The sisters went on to take a wicket apiece in the recent success against Shrewsbury School.

Gareth Owen first-team coach at Ellesmere's Cricket Academy said "It's a credit to the girls.

"They have managed the demands of their school work and a commitment to a number of sports including developing their cricket skills.

"The girls have displayed tremendous character in playing competitive cricket in the boy's teams."
