Whitchurch club launches coaching sessions
A Whitchurch club has launched this season’s programme of coaching sessions aimed at growing the game of bowls across Shropshire.

The two greens at Bridgewater were the venue for the session on Saturday morning with county development officer Pauline Wilson, her No.2 Brenda Slingo, Isobel Jones and Derek Wright as the coaches at the helm.
“All ages attended with 26 adults plus five complete beginners,” said Jones, who is also Bridgewater cub secretary.
“There were four groups on both greens, all enjoyed the experience and would like to take part in another coaching morning.”
Another big day looms for Bridgewater this coming Saturday with the official opening of their new pavilion and switching of new floodlights at a ceremony at 6.30pm.
