Castlefields make it two Summit League wins

Castlefields picked up their second win of the season with a convincing 8-2 success over Willenhall Nordley A in the Summit League Premier Division.

Glyn Herbert led the way for the Shrewsbury side with his 21-7 win over Mark Clayton earning him the MVP.

Rich Goddard, Callum Wraight, Mark Taylor Paul Williams and Andy Judson were the other Castlefields winners.

St Georges remain top but saw their lead cut to five points after going down to a 7-3 defeat at Windmill.

Rob Roden was the visitors' star performer with a 21-11 success over Lee Cavill. Glyn Picknell and Nigel Evans were the other winners as St Georges suffered just their fifth defeat of the campaign.

Victories for Stuart Rutter and Allan Gaut were the only high points for Wrockwardine Wood in their Feeder B clash at Baddesley.

Rutter defeated Richard Beal 21-13 to land the MVP and Gaut also won his match against Kevin Beal. But an overall 8-2 defeat means the Wrockites remain in sixth.

Hadley USC slipped below Moor Lane B after losing 7-3 in their Feeder B match.

Aaron King enjoyed a thumping 21-9 win against Lorraine Vinall to claim the MVP, while there were also successes for Sam Millward and Robert Fuller.

Hadley USC now sit in fifth place of a congested division where just seven points separates four teams in mid-table.

Sir John Bayley came out on top in the battle between two mid-table clubs in Division Two with a resounding 8-2 home success over Chadsmoor B.

Will Plant was the hosts' MVP for his 21-5 win over Eric Breeze. Sir John Bayley had six of the eight winners with Danny Oliver, John Potter, Michael Cooper, Paul Reeves and Tom Roden also notching victories.
