The experienced manager took over from former head coach Paul Hurst in the middle of November to become Town's fourth different boss in the last 18 months.

Ainsworth, who has now overseen two games in charge of Shrewsbury, was working as a pundit last weekend for Sky Sports during their coverage of Queens Park Rangers' trip to Watford.

The new Salop boss plans to continue working in the media on occasions during his time in Shropshire.

And he believes that as well as being good for watching players and seeing new tactics, it also helps to make valuable connections.
