Shrewsbury-born Clarke will turn out for the Birmingham League Division One outfit when his Worcestershire commitments allow.

It will be Clarke's second spell at Wellington having played for the club in 2014 before returning to Oswestry last season.

"Joe and I have been speaking regularly over the winter," said Wellington's chairman of selectors Adam Byram. "He enjoyed his previous spell at the club and was keen to come back.

"We are not banking on seeing him every week given his success at Worcestershire and with the England Lions, but it will great to have such a talented player available for some games."

Clarke, 19, has made impressive progress at New Road and forced his way into the senior side last summer.

He scored more than 500 runs in the County Championship and struck his maiden first class century against Sussex in September. That form earned him selection for England Lions' series against Pakistan in the UAE.
