Young archer is spot on at GB festival
Shropshire archer Charlotte Llewellyn-Smith hit the bullseye in Archery GB's Youth Archery Festival.
Charlotte, aged 13 and a member of Newport's Audco Archers, shot her way into the women's cadet team finals, winning gold and coming fourth in the individual bronze medal shoot off.
The week-long event, held at Lilleshall National Sports Centre, was the culmination of this year's Archery GB's Olympic Performance Pathway Academy Programme.
Academy archers plus aspiring young archers in the talent pool fought it out during a week of mixed sunshine, blustery winds and showers.
Charlotte receives sponsorship support from local Newport company FVR (UK) Ltd; SportsAid; and Telford and Wrekin and Shropshire Council's 'Pupils Gifted in Sports Scheme.'
She's delighted to have been re-invited onto the 2015-2016 central academy programme to continue her aspirations of representing Great Britain in the Olympics and other international events.
