Watkins followed up the deals for James Preece and Michal Pavlu by adding former Tiger and experienced netminder Barry Hollyhead to his backroom staff on a part-time basis.

The 38-year-old will be a assistant coach and will concentrate on working with the Tigers' netminding duo, Dec Ryan and Sam Gospel.

Hollyhead is well-known to Tigers fans, having first iced for the senior side in Telford back in the 1991-92 season.

Since then he has gone on to represent Trafford Metros, Solihull Blaze, Coventry Blaze, Milton Keynes Lightning, Cardiff Devils and Great Britain, playing more than 550 games, winning two EPL championships and twice becoming an EPL play-off champion.

Hollyhead said: "I'm looking forward to being involved with my hometown team and helping us progress. I believe we have got a talented netminding pair in Dec and Sam."
