Telford Tigers' clash with Slough Jets erupted with a fight during the second period of Sunday night's game at the ice rink.

Telford Tigers player-coach Tom Watkins heaped praise on his side after they narrowly missed out on a pair of famous victories over the English Premier League joint-leaders – and insisted: "We deserved to take all four points".

A dramatic penalty shots win over top side Sheffield Steeldogs was promptly followed by an equally incident-filled defeat against joint-leaders Slough Jets on Sunday, an encounter which was only settled in overtime.

Those results left Telford with three points from an especially tough set of matches, although Watkins believes they could have gone on to claim both wins.
