Daisy Weaver and Rich Lawson came up trumps in the St Georges Mixed Doubles.
The Chester Road-Bowring combo defeated Wrockwardine Wood husband and wife Allan and Angela Gaut 21-8 in the final to collect the £200 first prize.
They are also the inaugural winners of the Nicholas Rhodes Memorial Trophy kindly donated by Tony and Mandy and Matthew Rhodes in memory of their son/brother Nich-olas.
And while Sunday's final was fairly comfortable, the winning pair had a couple of scares along the way in the successful one-dayer.
In the first round they defeated Yvonne Wainwright and Greg Needham 21-19 after leading 20-14.
And it was much the same story in their semi-final as they almost let slip a 20-12 lead before defeating Prince Hotel mixed doubles winners Tracy Bostock and Keith Wall 21-18.
"Daisy led extremely well all day and Rich played some superb forcing bowls and dead draws when they were in any danger," said St Georges spokesman Ian Gaut.
The other semi-final saw the Gauts beat Michelle & Sam Millward 21-7 and St Georges will make a substantial a donation to the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research Fund from the proceeds.
