The prized title of the kings of Shropshire cricket will be up for grabs this weekend.
Shrewsbury, Wellington, Shifnal and St Georges - the four highest ranked teams from last season - will be competing for the Salop Leisure Twenty20 Knockout crown today.
Birmingham League premier division title challengers Shrewsbury will be overwhelming favourites to see off a St Georges side already relegated from division two in the first semi-final.
Wellington then take on Shifnal in the second last four clash before the winners meet in the final.
Several members of Shropshire Minor Counties Trophy winning team will be in action at Shrewsbury's London Road ground.
"It is a great competition for Shropshire because it's not often the best four teams in the county play against each other," said Shrewsbury captain Ed Foster.
"The competition produces a high standard of cricket and there's the added excitement of coloured kits in this popular format.
"There are good friends in all the teams but good friends who will be desperate to win."
The first semi-final gets under way at 10am, with the final due around 4pm.
