Boss Andy Sinton is urging AFC Telford United's new-look squad to give their all in the next week - insisting places in his starting line-up are still up for grabs.
The Bucks open the Blue Square Bet North campaign at home to Hyde a week tomorrow.
And Sinton has yet to reach a final decision in his own mind on the team he will send out for that big match.
"I'm probably about 90 per cent sure what side I will put out, but football changes all the time," said Sinton.
"Your best made plans sometimes go out of the window so, while I am getting close, I'm not there yet.
"Someone, with what they do in the next week might still force their way in."
Telford play their final pre-season friendly at home to Wolves on Tuesday evening before the serious business begins.
But Sinton will also gather his full squad at the New Bucks Head tomorrow for a behind-closed-doors in-house game.
He has decided against taking his team to play against a professional youth team in favour of an approach that allows him to look at his full squad.
"We could have gone and played an Academy team at a Football League club somewhere, but this way I can play two competitive and evenly-matched teams," said Sinton.
"This way we can give 22 players 90 minutes and I think it will benefit everyone to get that under their belt.
"I'll probably let John Psaras (the first team coach) and Darren Read (assistant manager) run a team each and I'll sit up in the stand and watch a team each so I can see what the shape is like and who is combining well."
