Boss Andy Sinton has moved to strengthen his AFC Telford United squad - agreeing a loan deal for jet-heeled Derby County winger Greg Mills.
The 19-year-old impressed in last night's 2-0 pre-season friendly win at Hednesford, having first caught the Telford chief's eye playing for the Rams against Solihull Moors last week.
And Sinton has already agreed a deal with Derby boss Nigel Clough that will see the promising youngster join for an initial month once the Blue Square Bet North season starts on Saturday, August 14.
"Greg's a good player, he gives us something we've been lacking," said Sinton. "He stretches teams with his pace.
"I saw him last week at Solihull when Derby played there and Nigel speaks highly of him.
"He's probably not quite ready for Derby, even though he's been in and around the first team squad.
"He'll be a useful addition - though there are no guarantees he's going to play.
"Derby have been very accommodating, they are going to pay the majority of his money and we only have to find a little bit."
Mills made two substitute appearances for the Rams in the Championship last season and had a short but prolific loan spell with Solihull Moors.
He also spent a month on loan to League Two side Macclesfield Town.
"He can play right midfield and he scored four goals in six games doing that for Solihull last season," added Sinton.
"He can play on the left and he can even play right-back - he did that for Derby at Solihull."
Meanwhile, Sinton also hailed striker Andy Brown, who marked his return from holiday by scoring both goals in last night's victory at Keys Park.
"He is important to us because he's a goalscorer," said the Telford boss.
"I think that's six in his last three pre-season games now."
