Wolves today faced an anxious wait over Ronald Zubar after he limped out of their Irish tour with an ankle injury.

Zubar was set to undergo a scan today after twisting his left ankle with just 20 minutes gone of Saturday's opening tour friendly against Bohemians, which Wolves won 3-0.

The 24-year-old right-back, who left Dalymount Park wearing a protective boot, definitely misses tomorrow's friendly against Walsall at the Banks's Stadium.

But the former Marseille defender hopes to return for Saturday's game at Charleroi and said: "A ball came across and I tried to turn but my ankle twisted and it gave me a bad feeling - it was painful."

"It's sore and swollen, so I've keep the protective boot on it for a couple of days.

"I've had it treated over the weekend and I'll probably have it scanned today.

"Hopefully I'll be back in training tomorrow.

"It was disappointing because it was the first game back and I want to prove myself and keep it going after last season. But we won and I played 20 minutes.

"Hopefully I'll be OK for next weekend."
