Full-backs Sean Newton and Ashley Wooliscroft are on track to return to the AFC Telford United fold for tomorrow's pre-season clash with Prescot Cables.

The defensive duo both had to sit out the 5-1 friendly win at Market Drayton last Saturday, left-back Newton suffering with a groin injury and Wooliscroft hampered by a calf problem.

But the pair have made good progress and should be able to play a part in tomorrow's fixture against the Evo-Stik League division one north club.

Raring

"They both trained on Tuesday without any reaction and they were there last night as well," said first team coach John Psaras.

"They should be okay for the game tomorrow and they're raring to go."

Tomorrow's clash gives fans a first chance to see boss Andy Sinton's new-look side on home soil.

And Bucks officials are hoping for a bumper crowd as admission will be free.

Entry to the ground is via any of the turnstiles in the David Hutchison and Sir Stephen Roberts Stands.

Sinton will again run the rule over a number of trialists, though he is now hoping to cut the size of his squad as the start of the Blue Square Bet North season on August 14 looms.
