Back on the green, Chester Road clinched third place in the final table with a 13-1 home romp against Sir John Bayley, pushing former leaders Wem USC down to fourth after their 9-5 loss at Bylet.

Archibald Worthington finished the season on a high with a three chalk win at Ifton and Wrockwardine Wood completed a fine year with an 8-6 success at Newport.
