That's why there are three co-favourites to be crowned champion on Sunday on the St Julians No 2 green at Severnside in Shrewsbury (11am start).

Reigning champion Peter Farmer (St Georges) is understandably one of them, but the bookies reckon he will be pushed all the way by fellow 6-1 shots Andy Moss (Chester Road) and Callum Wraight of Castlefields.

Moss added the Meole Open to his stunning Autumn Waterloo success while Wraight is the the local hero. Past winner Charlie Weaver, Paul Williams and Wayne Phillips are all 8-1.
