PICTURE FROM THE PAST: Hoo Farm became famous for its well-loved sheep racing, but it ended in 2018 after a campaign by an animal rights group. The attraction, now called Hoo Zoo Dinosaur World, remains one of the most popular of its kind in the region, but many still miss the jumping sheep.

When change was changed

When they changed the change in our pockets

Did it make us less patriotic?

I mean when we went decimal

Did we become less deferential as well?

After all, they took all the royal lineage away

When they gave us this new way to pay

Victoria, your Edwards, your Georges

All disappeared from our coinage

An early example of cancel culture?

What effect did this suppression of the past have upon our future?
