Reassurance needed over housing issue

I wonder what Shropshire Council are going to get up to next?

I ask as I received a letter in the post from Star Housing (our housing association) in regards to employing a third party, namely “Savills” to review its housing stock.

In short, my wife who is disabled and I who are OAPs reside in a bungalow in Shifnal, along with several other residents who are older than ourselves.

There are nine bungalows and from talking to other neighbours, a similar exercise was carried out prior to 2011. The residents at the time, some of who still reside here got a big petition up to fight their case. They won but we fear that this is just another impending way of getting tenants to move.

We know that we will not be made homeless but the point is, that we and others have spent a lot of money getting our homes and gardens up to a standard that we wanted. Some of us are not in the best of health and this is all we need in terms of stress, worry and anger.

I have made some enquires and have been assured that my worries are uncalled for, but this information did not come from a SCC source so my wife and I and other tenants would like reassurance from someone in the know representing SCC please.
