Six weeks of disruption during A41 roadworks near Market Drayton
Motorists face six weeks of disruption as resurfacing work is carried out the A41 near Market Drayton.
Shropshire Council said the essential work is to be carried out on the Tern Hill Roundabout and approaching roads.
Work will begin on October 18 and is expected to take about six weeks to complete.
To minimise disruption, the council said the work will be undertaken at night, between 8pm and 6am, and will be carried out under temporary traffic lights.
Access to properties will be maintained throughout the work, the council said.
Simon Jones, Shropshire Council's cabinet member for highways and transport, said: "These important roadworks will greatly improve the road surface on the roundabout and surrounding roads, helping it to meet the needs of the local community and through traffic long into the future.
"As such we ask for people's patience and support while the work is carried out, and offer our apologies for any inconvenience that may be caused."
