Pensioner critically ill after being knocked down by car in Oswestry
An elderly pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being knocked down by a car in Oswestry.

Police today issued an appeal for witnesses to the incident which happened in Willow Street at about 7pm on Thursday.
The man, who has not been named, is in his seventies and is being treated in the major trauma unit at hospital in Stoke-on-Trent, where he is "critical but stable".
Police said the man had suffered multiple fractures and other injuries after being knocked down by a blue Vauxhall Zafira
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "We have issued an appeal for anyone who witnessed this incident, or the circumstances leading up to it, to contact Oswestry or Shrewsbury police stations by calling 101. "
