Cricket club scoreboard plan among new applications to Shropshire Council

Dozens of planning applications have been lodged for areas all over Shropshire including for a cricket club's new electronic scoreboard and for a disused windmill to be turned into holiday lets.

The applications are listed in the Shropshire Star each week and can be viewed in depth on the council's planning portal.

Shropshire Council's Northern Planning Area includes Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Market Drayton and areas in between.

One application is for permission to build a standalone bungalow northwest of 1 Springfields Cottages in Moreton Mill. The reference number is 21/01659/FUL.

RKM Wools in Beatrice Street, Oswestry, has applied for permission to replace its shop front (21/01937/FUL).

And Norton-in-Hales Cricket Club has applied for permission to replace its electronic scoreboard in the Community Sports Field (21/01946/FUL). It also hosts the village bowls and tennis clubs.

An application has been lodged for permission to demolish and replace a bungalow at Crantock, Station Road in Shrewsbury (21/01731/FUL).

The owners at Ivy House Farm near Weston-under-Redcastle have applied for permission to convert a farmhouse and add an annex so it can be used as a holiday let (21/01855/FUL).

There is an application for permission to build a double garage, move a bin store and lighting bollard and remove trees at The Woodlands, Abbey Foregate in Shrewsbury (21/01787/FUL).

Meanwhile, there have also been applications for the Southern Planning area.

There is an application for 'permission in principle' to build new homes north of the Longmynd Hotel, Cunnery Road, Church Stretton (21/01944/PIP). A more detailed application will follow if this succeeds.

An old windmill at Chapel Lane, Broseley, could be heightened to provide room for second floor accommodation and a single storey extension, to provide holiday let accommodation (21/01808/FUL).

Also in Broseley, the landowner has applied for permission to build one house with parking on rand to the rear of 17 Hockley Road (21/01903/FUL).

Permission is being sought for a detached swimming pool building at The Grange in Chelmarsh (21/01954/FUL).
