A Shropshire-wide consultation on plans for where thousands of homes will be built in the next 20 years has been extended.

Shropshire Council is currently asking for comments on its 'preferred sites' document.

It is the third stage of its Local Plan Review process, and sets out areas of the county where development is planned to take place up until 2036.

The consultation period for the preferred sites document began on November 29 last year and was scheduled to run until January 31.

However, the closing date for the receipt of consultation responses has now been extended by a week to Friday, February 8.

The move has been made in recognition of the time lost during the Christmas shutdown.

All documents associated with the consultation and the response questionnaires can be found at shropshire.gov.uk/get-involved/local-plan-review-preferred-sites-consultation/
