What these Hackers demand to fix your NHS

A large number of members of the public are reporting that they have been affected by the release of the so-called June 8 Bug.

They turn on their screens, and before long a politician pops up with a message.

The origins of the Bug - also known as the Jim Hacker Syndrome - have been tracked down to an address in central London, and it spread almost instantly across the United Kingdom.

The exact wording of the politicians' message will vary, but the general theme is along the lines that only they, and they alone, can get us all out of this mess.

All you have to do is give them your vote on June 8 and all will be well. Or, at the very least, they will be working on the problem.

Some voters are wondering whether it is best to do as they say.

Here, a note of caution for the unwary. Appearing on your screens promising to make things better is one thing. But can and will they deliver? And what is the cost?

Experts point to past scams in which innocent members of the public passed over their votes and were left disappointed.

The National Health Service is an area which has been particularly affected by the Bug. The price for getting the system working properly again amounts to an extra 1p in the pound on income tax, which will deliver £6 billion extra a year, according to the Liberal Democrats.

The Labour Party has a different funding fix for the NHS in England. It says it will cost an extra £37 billion, to fall over the course of a Parliament, but has promised that ordinary people will not bear the burden of this payment.

As for the Tories, they say they are already working on fixing it. They say they are pumping in record amounts, with an extra £10 billion to fund the NHS.

You pay your money, and you make your choice, as the saying goes.

There is the question of where all the money is going to come from. You are free to ask the politicians, but you should be prepared for various levels of encryption which protects the release of that data.

If politicians repeatedly appearing on your screens is beginning to irritate you, you can try turning your device off entirely. However, politicians can get round that by coming round and knocking on your door and asking for your vote.

The simplest solution appears to be to bide your time. After June 8 a lot of the politicians will disappear and you may not have any more trouble from them for another five years.
