Worried that Aston Martin’s upcoming Valkyrie might just be a little too tame? Well, the firm has you covered with its latest creation – the Valkyrie AMR Pro.

Based on the production hypercar, the Valkyrie AMR Pro is a track-only monster that boasts more power and more downforce to create an even higher-performance machine.

The base car will be no slouch when it comes to market, boasting a claimed output of nearly 1,000bhp from its 6.5-litre, naturally aspirated V12 hybrid setup – but the track version will take it to another level with a modified version of the same drivetrain developing “in excess of” 1,100bhp.

Perhaps even more impressively, the weight of the downforce that’s created is even more than the car itself – which comes in at 1,000kg on the scales. To help achieve this number, lighter components have been added to the car such as a polycarbonate windscreen and side windows, carbon-fibre suspension wishbones, moulded race seats and a lighter exhaust system. A number of items have also been removed from the road car, such as the heater/demister blower and infotainment screens.

Just 25 examples of the Valkyrie AMR Pro will be produced – but don’t rush out to your nearest dealer in the hopes of getting one, as all have already been sold.

Customer-ready track cars based on hypercars are no new thing. Ferrari started the trend in 2005 with the Enzo-based FXX, which it followed up with the LaFerrari-derived FXX K in 2015, while McLaren also offers the P1 GTR.
