Suzuki has kicked off 2018 with the launch of two special editions of its Ignis and Vitara models.

Boasting new kit and styling tweaks, the vehicles return to the UK after a successful limited production run last year.

Based on the Ignis SZ-T, the Adventure is powered by a tiny 1.2-litre, 89bhp engine, and adds a selection of the most popular and distinctive personalisation options.

Standard specifications on the mini-crossover include a rear-view camera, 16-inch alloy wheels, roof rails and individually sliding rear seats. Now the new £13,999 Adventure – £1,000 more than the SZ-T – comes equipped with a rear spoiler, side mouldings, front and rear skid plates, coloured front grille centre bar, side decal set and colour keyed front fog lamp bezels.

There are similar upgrades to the Vitara Kuro.

The SUV makes a return to the range with a further 1,000 units being produced.

Also based on the SZ-T, the 1.4-litre, 118bhp Kuro adds £1,700-worth of extras to the already well-equipped Vitara. Suzuki says Kuro offers ‘unique’ specification, including ‘Misti’ satin-black alloy wheels, black front bumper and side body moulding set, black door mirrors, black rear upper spoiler, black front grille and side trims, and Kanji ‘Kuro’ badge.

Inside, the colour design theme continues with a ‘piano black’ dashboard, ventilation trim ring set and centre console trim. A carbon-effect centre analogue clock is also included as standard.

This is in addition to auto air conditioning, satellite navigation, smartphone link, and rear privacy glass as standard.

The Kuro, priced at £18,749, is available in four colours: Superior White (solid), Cosmic Black, Galactic Grey and Silky Silver (all £500 metallic options). The Adventure is available in Fervent Red (solid), Boost Blue Pearl, Pure White Pearl and Super Black Pearl (£465 metallic options).

Suzuki said: “The introduction of Special Edition Suzuki models certainly helps our dealer network retain strong customer interest in the range.

“Vitara Kuro sold out quickly in 2017 hence the decision for it to make a return and proving the system works, particularly when our customers can see the added value of these models.

“Including both Ignis Adventure and Vitara Kuro on zero per cent APR until the end of March is an added attraction for customers who may be considering a smaller deposit and low monthly payments.

“Personalisation accessories are available for Ignis, Swift and Vitara to really make your new car individual”.

Suzuki is offering both cars with PCP finance incentives. The Ignis Adventure is available for £159 per month on a 43-month contract with a £2,216 deposit required. The Vitara Kuro is also available with a 43-month contract, costing £199 a month with a £3,390 deposit.
