Mercedes-AMG has revealed a new, high-end specification for its G63 and G65 models.

The ‘Exclusive Edition’ adds AMG racing stripes, a spare wheel cover painted in the vehicle’s colour and large 21-inch alloy wheels to the iconic four-wheel-drive.

The grey magno matte paint is also exclusively available on the Exclusive Edition.

Inside, both cars get a two-tone leather-trimmed instrument panel as well as AMG sports seats. The seat and door centre panels feature a diamond stitch pattern, while drivers have the choice of either carbon-fibre or black ‘piano’ trims.

Other options include red seat belts, leather grab handles and a two-tone AMG Performance steering wheel.

A seat comfort package includes multi-contour and climate-controlled seats for the driver and passenger.

The G63 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 producing 563bhp, while the G65 utilises a twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre V12 with 621bhp.

Both cars retain the standard vehicle’s four-wheel-drive system, which incorporates an intelligent traction control system that can brake a wheel independently should it lose grip. This enables the car to tackle more difficult conditions and slippery road surfaces.

Mercedes-AMG has yet to release UK prices for the new G63 and G65 Exclusive Editions, though German prices put them at €163,125 and €287,658 respectively.
