Colin Firth spotted at Shifnal hotel
Bridget Jones actor Colin Firth stopped off in Shifnal over the weekend.
The star, also known for The King's Speech and Kingsman: The Secret Service, stopped at Park House Hotel off Park Street.
Staff at the hotel took to Facebook to share the news, and said that Mr Firth had been a gentleman.
"Its not every day that Shifnal sees a celebrity, but we were humbled to be host to the lovely Colin Firth for the whole weekend," they posted to Facebook.
"What a gentleman he was too."
The post was shared nearly 100 times, had more than 700 reactions and had nearly 200 comments from fans of Mr Firth who were happy to see he had been in the area.
Sharon Whatmough said: "Bit late with you post Park House. If you'd have informed us when he was there you'd have made a fortune in the bar out of us Firth fans!"
Other fans were excited to see him at their upcoming wedding venue.
One thanked him for posing for pictures with their bridesmaids over the weekend.
