Firefighters deal with grass fire near Telford primary school after hours

Shropshire firefighters spent around half an hour tackling a grass fire near to a school.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service sent one crew to the incident

It happened around 7.45pm yesterday and involved an area of grassland behind the Captain Webb Primary School in Dawley, Telford.

One crew was sent to the scene and firefighters wore breathing equipment while they used a hose reel jet to put out the fire.

The incident was concluded by around 8.15pm.
