Sylvia Bailey, church secretary at Oakengates United Church in Telford is hosting a plant sale in Priorslee during the next few months to raise funds.

Sylvia, 75, has been holding plant sales for more than 20 years and her love for growing plants has always guided her.

She said: “We used to have a garden party at our house, and I started doing plants then. It’s grown over the years the number of plants I do, but has always been for the church.

“I just like growing plants, I divide them up in the garden and people give me seeds and cuttings. It is very rewarding.

"The stall will operate during the summer and different plants will be on sale as and when they grow on. There is an honesty box system for payment but I am available if anyone has any queries.”

Sylvia operates out of a flower stall cart her husband made for her.
