Management of Telford Tennis Centre changing hands
The management of Telford Tennis Centre is changing hands from April 1.
Telford & Wrekin Leisure will be taking over the management and operations, although it will not be able to fully reopen immediately and will initially be used as an elections count venue.
Telford Tennis Centre, which offers tennis activities and coaching for all ages, is owned by Telford & Wrekin Council but has been managed by GLL since 2016.
Councillor Eileen Callear, Telford & Wrekin Council's cabinet member for leisure, libraries, and culture, said: “We would like to thank the team at GLL for all of their work over the last five years in managing the Telford Tennis Centre and for making tennis accessible for the local community.
“Telford Tennis Centre provides an excellent opportunity for people of all ages and abilities who are looking to learn and improve their skills.
"We are excited to get these facilities back open for everyone to enjoy throughout the summer months and we are particular looking forward to growing and developing the coaching activities which are available.”
Telford Tennis Centre is expected to reopen from June 1.
