Warning to avoid Telford crossroads after crash
Motorists were this afternoon urged to avoid a busy crossroads in Telford after a two-car crash.
Traffic was moving slowly through Lawley Drive crossroads after the smash between a dark grey Skoda Octavia and a white Ford Transit.
West Mercia Police said there was a lot of debris on the road, as well as fluids from the vehicles.
One lane of the road was closed for a number of hours while it was cleared.
Police said one of the drivers had suffered a possible hand injury.
The crash happened shortly before 2.45pm.
Joanne Pollard works in the area and said she reported the crash when she heard a "very loud" collision.
The West Mercia OCC Twitter account warned people to steer clear of the area.
"Officers currently dealing with an RTC near Lawley Drive (A5223) crossroads," they said.
"This may cause some delays so please try to avoid the area if possible. Thank you."
