Firefighters tackle Telford house blaze

Firefighters tackled a blaze in the ground floor of a house in Telford.

Firefighters were called to the scene in Telford

The fire was started by electrics in the semi-detached home on Friday night in Myford, Horsehay.

Emergency services including paramedics as well as the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service were in attendance.

Two crews from Telford Central and Wellington Fire Station used breathing equipment and a water jets to extinguish the flames.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue were alerted to the blaze at around 11.25pm and spent almost 40 minutes at the scene.

Also in attendance were operations and fire investigation officers and a utility company.

A spokesperson for Shropshire Fire said: "Fire involving electrics in ground floor of semi-detached property."

It is not yet known whether there were any injuries.
