Ales to be 'massacred' as popular Valentine's beer festival returns to south Shropshire
A Shropshire brewery is to hold the latest edition of its popular Valentine's Day beer festival for all those that love with a pint.
Ludlow Brewery is putting on its much-anticipated Valentine’s Ale Massacre beer festival next weekend.
The three day festival will feature more than 30 cask and keg beers and ciders. The festival is being held over three days from Friday, February 13 to Sunday, February 15 at the south Shropshire brewery.
The event is popular with local beer aficionados and visitors. A variety of craft beers and real ales from independent breweries all over the UK will available for punters over the three days.

Managing Director Gary Walters said: “We are looking forward to showcasing around 20 cracking guest beers, as well as our range of beers. Our brewers have also created a cherry porter, especially for the event.
”There’s always a brilliant atmosphere at this Valentine’s beer festival. With over 30 beers, lagers and ciders, as well as street food, a comedy night, gig, and open mic, there should be something for everyone to enjoy. The line up for this year is looking really good!”
The beer festival is free entry, being held during normal opening hours in the daytime: 11am-6pm Friday, 10am-5pm Saturday, 12pm-8pm Sunday.
There will also be street food and entertainment during the weekend. The Pizza Girls will be firing up the oven on the Saturday to provide a range of pizzas, while The Beefy Boys will be grilling their popular burgers on the Sunday.
Ticketed live comedy and music events will be held on the Friday and Saturday nights. The brewery’s popular monthly open mic Sunday Sessions takes place from 4-8.30 pm (free entry).
Previous events have featured beers from guest breweries including Oakham Ales, Purple Moose, Titanic, Tiny Rebel, Deya, Wily Fox, Bristol Beer Factory, Mad Squirrel, Fixed Wheel, Vocation. The Valentine’s Ale Massacre 2026 will be pouring real ales and craft beers from breweries in the North, South and Midlands areas.
