Firefighters from both sides of Shropshire border scrambled to hedge on fire

Firefighters from both sides of the Shropshire/Wales border rushed to reports of a hedge on fire.

A fire engine was scrambled from Clun at 11.09am on Thursday and Mid & West Wales Fire Service was called on to help tackle the burning boundary at Kinsley Road in Knighton.

A spokesman for Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said the crew used one hose reel jet to put the flames out.

They added that assistance was provided by Mid & West Wales Fire Service and the job was declared over at 11.47am.
