Air ambulance rescues walker near Church Stretton

An injured walker was rescued by an air ambulance on a hill near Church Stretton.

Medics were called at 1.31pm yesterday and the fire service sent a Pinzgauer all-terrain vehicle to help transfer the casualty into a helicopter.

It happened on a hill near Hope Bowdler, near Church Stretton.

A crew from the ambulance service also helped and the casualty was safe by 2.15pm.
