Emergency crews called to two south Shropshire crashes

Emergency services went to two crashes on roads in south Shropshire on Thursday.

Fears that people may be trapped led to five crews being sent to a collision on the B4214 at Burford.

The 999 calls came in at 4.30pm.

Five fire appliances including the rescue tender were mobilised from Cleobury Mortimer, Ludlow and Wellington. Noone was trapped.

A collision occurred earlier on the busy A49 at Leebotwood near Church Stretton.

The crash, just after 3pm, involving three cars.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue service sent a fire crew from Church Stretton to the scene but no one was trapped in the vehicles.
